Nature has been busy perfecting a wool that helps sheep roam and survive the extreme environment. Known across the world for its quality, comfort and warmth, the benefits of Merino wool are undeniable.

Merino is the most versatile and durable wool known to man, as well as incredibly soft and surprisingly light. This makes it a perfect match for anything and everything nature can throw its way. When we set out to create a blanket that would somehow meet the needs of both outdoor enthusiasts and connoisseurs of comfort, Merino wool seemed like the perfect place to start.

From sheep to sleep: the warmest wool on the planet.

When you have a passion for the outdoors, you understand that versatile and durable gear are an absolute necessity. Merino wool stands up to the test. From the beginning, the team at GoSnug focused on creating a Merino wool blanket because selfishly, it's what we wanted. Turns out, we weren't the only ones.

We believe that there is no reason why we can’t bring comfort, durability and versatility with us wherever we go. We wanted a blanket that was perfectly suited to both a weekend camping trip and a weekend at home with family and friends. The GoSnug is our solution, a blanket that blends state-of-the-art technical fabrics with the world-famous benefits of Merino wool in designs that look equally good in the campsite or draped across the living room sofa.

It's All About the Benefits!

What makes Merino wool so amazing? Well, it’s incredibly adaptable with an awesome list of benefits.

  • Merino excels at regulating body temperature, providing warmth without overheating the wearer.
  • It’s a wicking fabric, as it draws sweat away from the skin and helps you stay comfortable in warm or cold conditions.
  • Amazingly, the fabric also has properties that make it slightly moisture repellent, keeping the wearer from the feeling of wetness.
  • Wicking fabrics are great, of course, but the problem with a lot of wicking fabrics is that all that sweat ends up making the fabric start to smell. Merino contains lanolin, which has antibacterial properties, resulting in reduced human body odor.
  • While Merino is one of the softest types of wool available, it also has a stellar warmth-to-weight ratio compared to other wools. This is partly because the fibers trap body heat similar to the way a sleeping bag warms its occupant.

GoSnug: the Merino wool blanket for all occasions

It’s important for us to create something that represents our belief that a passion for outdoors doesn’t end once you head inside. Whether you are curling up on the couch on a snowy afternoon or laying out under the summer stars, the GoSnug blanket is the perfect blend of comfort and durability for the outdoor adventurer and connoisseur of comfort in all of us.
